68% Peru Uyacali Dark with Durant Oregon Olive Oil
A few years back, when I heard there was an olive oil producer in Oregon, I knew I had to feature it in a bar. I sampled the different varieties that the amazing Durant Oregon produces, and settled on the single varietal Koroneiki oil. I love how the green banana and walnut notes meld with the tangy mocha notes of the Ucayali cacao I use for this bar. It’s deep and rich, with a luscious texture from the olive oil addition. The olive oil flavor comes in as it melts, and little flecks of sea salt highlight the finish. Olive oil bar; 68% Peru Ucayali dark chocolate with Durant Oregon olive oil and Jacobsen's Salt.
